Codiga now supports more than 30 rules for Apex and checks the design, performance of your application, and ensures you follow best practices.

Salesforce tower

Salesforce Apex is the primary language to integrate with Salesforce applications. Simple to learn as it borrows similar concepts of popular programming languages, it enforces a lot of good coding practices and facilitates the development of multi-tenant applications.

As the popularity of the Salesforce platform grew, the Apex language became extremely popular to write applications running in the cloud. In addition, its syntax and semantics proximity with Java and C# made it easy for developers to switch to this new language.

While Apex provides a lot of features to make new programs safe, programmers still do some mistakes and leave complicated or undocumented code. That is why we integrated Apex into our Codiga platform. Codiga supports more than 30 rules for Apex and checks the design, performance of your application, and ensures you follow best practices.

With Codiga, you can:

  • detect any issue while you write code in VS Code or IntelliJ using our integration plugins (VS Code plugin, JetBrains plugin).
  • have an overview of your codebase and list all issues in Apex code in your repositories (support GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab)
  • automate your code reviews and find any issue in a pull request before any new code is pushed in production.

It’s free, simple, and ensures that you follow good coding practices for your Apex code. You can get started today with your GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket account.

Check all the rules Codiga checks for Apex in our documentation.
